Stanwell is a line of wall-mounted blow-out urinals manufactured by the Kohler Company. Introduced in the 1940s, the Stanwell line of urinals has gone through many different revisions over the years and is still in production to this day.

First Generation (1940's?-1963)[]

The first generation of the Stanwell urinals were introduced around the 1940s. The urinals featured a curved lip front with a blowout flush. This generation was produced until 1963.

Second Generation (1963-1974)[]

The second generation of the Stanwell urinals were introduced in 1963 and was completely redesigned. The front of the urinal was changed from a curved lip to a wide triangular lip.

Third Generation (1975-1989)[]

The third generation of the Stanwell urinals were introduced in 1975 and featured some minor design changes. The front lip of the urinal and the side privacy walls were slightly extended forwards to make the urinal ADA compliant when installed according to the ADA and local accessibility guidelines.

Fourth Generation (1985-2010?)[]

The 4th generation of the Stanwell urinals were introduced in 1985 and was completely redesigned. The front of the urinal featured a deeper triangular lip with a thinner rim. The side privacy walls were thicker and angled inwards and the back wall angled vertically towards the center of the urinal. The urinal featured a 2 5/16" inch trapway opening, and the exterior of the trapway was concealed. The urinal supported a flush volume of 1.0 gallons (3.8 liters) of water per flush.
